Blow things up!
Posted by: admin, November 27 2011 - 0 comments

What something that physicists probably do on their free time is lollygag on physics game to test if it works correctly according to the formulas that they have studied, and there is one game that will give them, or anyone that played it, a satisfied look on their face, is Blow things up! And that’s a pretty straightforward game title if you ask me.

Place bombs on the screen and detonate to blow things up. They give no reason for you as to why you should do it, except because it is tons of simple fun. Anyone with a particular love for physics will find the game real stress reliever and time killer, and all you have to do is to let the orange evil bad guys stay anywhere...anywhere but within your view. That’s right; send those spike-toothed balls away to advance to the next level. It would be just the sheer and basic principle of giving the player fun at the first few levels, then later, you would be making use of the brain for those ‘how will I blast him away if he’s in there’ times and those annoying moments where you have less bombs that you need. Try to place a bomb near each and every orange ball to see a synchronized blast off if you’re just into the fun and not about the trophies.

If there are bombs left after you finished a level, you will have a trophy awarded, which is pretty common in the early game because then they’ll just be on top of easy to destroy brick constructions. If you used almost all the bombs or used too many, unnecessarily, you will just be awarded a star which isn’t that cool, and would be the trend in the more advanced levels where they’ll inside deep and secure walls or if the bad guys are too far from each other. There will also be other surfaces like a wooden pinwheel, a slippery material and of course a solid rock foundation. The intricate designing of the levels are good to keep your mind working although some parts of it might get your brain too worked.

There will be excruciatingly hard levels which may want to make you see the walkthrough and we all have to thank those patient and brave players for giving us this necessary evil in gaming. Take note though that there could be better bomb positions that you can think of than the ones shown in the guide. Some also needs precise timing as well as putting the bomb in the perfect spot to get the desired effects, so a bit of trial and error is ok because you can always instantly reset the level if you think something went wrong in your genius calculation. Have as many tries as you want, no penalty here to know if you already suck in this game too much.

While the game’s fun is its core to hook you into it, you might be missing a soundtrack that gets the ball rolling, although you can always just play something on your media player and just listen to the sound of explosions and orange bad guys flying off the screen. Blow things up will brighten your day.
